Farmer & Producer Application

We are building a network of exceptional producers of shelf-stable dried agricultural ingredients. This application helps us understand your farm, organic practices, drying methods, food-safety controls, capacity and readiness for commercial distribution.

Application progressStep 1 of 8

Use the numbered steps to return to any completed section.

1. About you and your farm

Tell us who you are, how your operation is organized, and where the product is grown, dried or prepared.

Enter the registered name used for contracts, tax records or payments, if different from the farm name.
Choose the structure that best describes who grows, dries or processes the product.
Choose the language for instructions, inspection communication and agreements.
Paste a Google Maps share link or coordinates so an inspection and future carrier pickup can locate the facility.
Give enough detail for an inspector and commercial carrier to find the exact loading location.
List other shelf-stable products you could potentially supply. Each product would still require separate approval.

2. Product eligibility

We intentionally focus on stable dried ingredients rather than perishable foods.

Product category *Select the finished dried product category—not the fresh crop before drying.
Include variety or local name where relevant, such as chile costeño rojo or Mexican oregano.
State the approximate finished dried quantity, not the fresh harvest weight.
Estimate the time from accepting a production request until packed product is ready for pickup.
Does the finished product require refrigeration or freezing? *
Products requiring refrigeration/freezing or other high-risk perishable handling are generally outside the current Mexican Growers program.

3. Organic and farming practices

We want to understand the practices actually used—not simply whether the word “organic” is used.

“Organic practices” does not mean certified organic. Certified claims require current documentation accepted for the intended market.
List commercial products and traditional inputs, including compost and manure. Write NONE if none are used.
Include every treatment used, even when natural, homemade or permitted in organic agriculture.
Identify irrigation and processing water separately if they come from different sources.
PDF or clear photograph. A claim of certified organic must be supported by valid certification for the market in which it is sold.

4. Drying and food-safety controls

Drying makes foods shelf-stable, but it does not automatically eliminate pathogens. We evaluate the entire process.

Water activity is different from moisture percentage. Leave blank if you do not measure it; Mexican Growers may require testing.
Describe any validated steam, heat or other kill step. Write NONE when no treatment is used.
Explain practical controls used at each stage. Drying alone does not guarantee that pathogens have been eliminated.

5. Required farm & production video

The video is a preliminary verification tool. It does not replace an in-person Mexican Growers inspection.

Please show the real operation.
  1. Introduce yourself and state the farm/location.
  2. Show fields, crops and neighboring activity.
  3. Show water source and agricultural-input storage.
  4. Show harvest containers and handling.
  5. Walk through the entire drying process and equipment.
  6. Show how the product is protected from animals, insects, soil, dust and moisture.
  7. Show worker handwashing/sanitation and processing surfaces.
  8. Show finished-product storage, pest controls, packaging and chemical storage.
  9. Explain the practices used to maintain organic production, where applicable.
Recommended: 2–8 minutes, compressed. For this first system version, keep the upload under 50 MB.A private video link is usually better for large files and helps keep R2 storage below the free allowance.
A link is useful where rural internet makes a direct upload difficult.

6. Testing, certification & traceability

What testing has been performed?
Can you trace finished product to its source and production lot? *Traceability means being able to connect a finished package to the field/source, harvest or processing date and production lot.
Describe notebooks, spreadsheets, labels, batch codes or other records currently used.

7. Packaging, storage & pickup readiness

Example: 12 bags per case, 15 kg per case, or current bulk-sack weight.
Can you print/apply supplied shipment labels and have packed product ready for carrier pickup? *“Yes, with training” is acceptable. Mexican Growers can provide label and pickup instructions after approval.

8. Review & declaration

What happens next

Mexican Growers will review product fit, documentation, video, food-safety information and commercial suitability. Qualified applicants may be invited to a physical farm/facility inspection. Approval is not automatic.

Required before submission: review each declaration and check all four boxes.
